The Power of His Word

Author: Andrew Smith

“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the LORD. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts. “The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry. It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.” (Isaiah 55:8-11 NLT)

I am going to place here the second installment in the “Kingdom Thinking” series because it is the original idea for this particular arrangement of words about God’s Word and sending it out through, what those who understand the concept call, seed sowing.  Then I am going to ask The Holy Spirit to help me expand on the concept and why it is so very important to a walk with Christ.

Kingdom Thinking II

I’m going to try and expand on my previous post on Kingdom thinking.  Maybe make this a recurring post subject if the Holy Spirit will help me arrange the words. Had a good conversation with a friend about seed planting this week.  Not the physical act of putting a seed in the ground but the more abstract parallel of planting thoughts and ideas into consciousness.  So many times in the past when I would try to share the Good News I would get angry when I didn’t get immediate acceptance.  Not knowing if I failed in my explanation or maybe my timing was off.  The only thing I knew was I didn’t see an immediate acceptance of truth and it angered me and spoiled the seed.  It wasn’t until sometime later that Christ revealed to me the concept of spiritual sowing.  He helped me to understand that the planting is my responsibility.  The soil is provided by the recipient of the seed.  The light and living water are provided by the Holy Spirit, whose timing is His own and perfect.  The germination becomes a partnership between sower, recipient, and Christ.  The timing of germination isn’t bound by any length of time.  It may lay dormant for years, even decades but Christ knows when the time is right to shine down on that seed.  The true weights of our responsibility as sowers come in the form of the seeds sown.  Planting the wrong seeds can be devastating to both recipient and sower.  Be sure that the seeds you sow are ones of Truth and Life through Christ and His acceptance, forgiveness and free gift of salvation to All who just believe in Him.  I myself have sown many seeds of death and destruction.  It is my mission to seek out those seeds and with Christ’s help undo what damage I may have done and to make sure that the seeds sown in the future by my hands are ones pleasing to my Savior and ones He would be proud to shine His light on.  Let’s go plant some seeds!!

I am also going to share one other arrangement of words I coalesced about six months ago.  I feel that they are an encouragement for me to fulfill my longtime calling into what I will leave at seed sowing.  I can honestly say that the statement “My word will not return void” is so very true.  As we all plant seeds of truth through God’s Word and our own personal testimonies we will see change.  I have been witness to the transformative power of just words over the past few months and stand by this upcoming statement as Divinely inspired and an encouragement that should transcend myself and encourage all people of  faith that absorb it’s meaning. We should all find the appropriate avenues to share our personal truths and joys in Christ Jesus.  We should also see the benefit in sharing our weaknesses that Christ might be glorified through them because it was through the weakness and shame of the cross His power was made known.  As the Body of Christ (The Church) we should be willing to show our weaknesses and our shame to glorify His Name and Purpose.   God so often speaks to me through circumstance and the environment around me.  He uses The Holy Spirit to prompt patterns of association in my life and the environment I am in rather it be an environment of a physical nature or of a more abstract environment of consciousness.   He begins the purging of thought with a simple but effective question; what do you see?

Question – What do you see?

Answer – I see connections being made.  I see a coalescence of people forming with God’s Will at the center.  Relationships of old and new that compliment, confirm, and amplify their calling.  I see cultural divides being broken down.  Social media is transcending distances that for far too long has separated the likeminded.  As thoughts coalesce a Spirit of Truth will emerge on a world scope.  God separated the language in the days of old.  The world’s cultures matured with different fragments of Truth.  As these fragment come together through connections of Faith, Love, and Understanding a Cosmic Truth will emerge.  Those who have eyes see and those that have ears hear.  The Cosmic Dawn is about to crest the horizon.  We are past the three O clock hour.  The morning dew is forming to water the hearts of men.  Prepare your fields for seed.  Sow your seeds in abundance for the time of harvest approaches.  The time to speak is now.  Rise up and resonate the Truth and set people FREE!

I personally believe that through circumstance and a unity of mind God is tilling the soil of a massive field as we speak.  It is our responsibility to do our part in this Divine equation and plant as many seeds as possible, and to recklessly throw seeds of life and truth in every direction at a feverous pace.  As we sow the seeds the tilled soil will receive and the Waters of The Holy Spirit will breathe Life into those very seeds.  Not all will mature, not all will take root, but the ones that do will bear the most precious fruits of all; a fruit so precious that Christ gave His life that they may grow.  The fruits that are so precious are a soul whose veil has been dropped and sees the Truth.  It is a Truth that comes from within and a Truth that will undoubtedly connect the recipients to Christ that is the Truth.  Not to religion, and not to an institution, but connecting them to the real and life changing Spirit of Christ.  The following is a passage of scripture that deserves to be read in its entirety in this arrangement because it is the core of our mandate as followers of Christ to spread seed.

Later that same day Jesus left the house and sat beside the lake. A large crowd soon gathered around him, so he got into a boat. Then he sat there and taught as the people stood on the shore. He told many stories in the form of parables, such as this one: “Listen! A farmer went out to plant some seeds. As he scattered them across his field, some seeds fell on a footpath, and the birds came and ate them. Other seeds fell on shallow soil with underlying rock. The seeds sprouted quickly because the soil was shallow. But the plants soon wilted under the hot sun, and since they didn’t have deep roots, they died. Other seeds fell among thorns that grew up and choked out the tender plants. Still other seeds fell on fertile soil, and they produced a crop that was thirty, sixty, and even a hundred times as much as had been planted! Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand.” His disciples came and asked him, “Why do you use parables when you talk to the people?” He replied, “You are permitted to understand the secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven, but others are not. To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given, and they will have an abundance of knowledge. But for those who are not listening, even what little understanding they have will be taken away from them. That is why I use these parables, For they look, but they don’t really see. They hear, but they don’t really listen or understand. This fulfills the prophecy of Isaiah that says, ‘When you hear what I say, you will not understand. When you see what I do, you will not comprehend. For the hearts of these people are hardened, and their ears cannot hear, and they have closed their eyes— so their eyes cannot see, and their ears cannot hear, and their hearts cannot understand, and they cannot turn to me and let me heal them.’ “But blessed are your eyes, because they see; and your ears, because they hear. I tell you the truth, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see, but they didn’t see it. And they longed to hear what you hear, but they didn’t hear it. “Now listen to the explanation of the parable about the farmer planting seeds: The seed that fell on the footpath represents those who hear the message about the Kingdom and don’t understand it. Then the evil one comes and snatches away the seed that was planted in their hearts. The seed on the rocky soil represents those who hear the message and immediately receive it with joy. But since they don’t have deep roots, they don’t last long. They fall away as soon as they have problems or are persecuted for believing God’s word. The seed that fell among the thorns represents those who hear God’s word, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the worries of this life and the lure of wealth, so no fruit is produced. The seed that fell on good soil represents those who truly hear and understand God’s word and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted!” (Matthew 13:1-23 NLT)

Have you ever wondered why the children of the enemy go to great lengths to not read or hear the words written in the Bible.  Why are there ones who curse and balk at the very sound of the Word being read or written?  The truth is that the powers that be in the unseen, that remain in control of those whose veil has not dropped, full well know the dangers of even a minuscule amount of God’s word from their perspective.  The enemies understand that if any of those seeds take root in the consciousness of those in bondage that the Spirit that follows is of an eternal nature and immune to the lies of death.  They will lose their hold on their precious fruit that they intend to pervert and consume.  There is a tremendous work that can happen inside the heart of a person when the word is unlocked by the power of Holy Spirit.  I promise that if you get into the word and ask Holy Spirit to reveal Christ to you with an earnest heart, God will not hold back but will give freely.  It is a power that can change everything.  That is why there are those that fight so hard to remain in the dark.  Because they know what I know and they understand what I understand; our enemy knows The Power of God’s Word.

May the grace of Christ, and the love of Creator, and the fellowship of Holy Spirit be with you all.
