Parasites of the Spirit: From Mount Hermon to the Manhattan Project

What connects the ancient battleground at Mount Hermon, where Jesus confronted demonic forces, to the hidden corridors of the Manhattan Project, where Oppenheimer unleashed the atomic age? Trey Smith’s newest documentary reveals how parasites of the spirit — ancient demons, idols, and deceptive powers — have followed humanity from antiquity to modern times.

This presentation will take you from the caves of Texas and Santa Fe, to the idols of the Day of the Dead, and finally into the shadowy secrets of Los Alamos and Roswell. Prepare to see history, prophecy, and spiritual warfare in a way you’ve never seen before.

The Base of Mount Hermon — Where Jesus Faced Demons

In the Gospel of Mark, we are brought to a dramatic scene: a boy convulsing, foaming at the mouth, overtaken by a violent spirit. His father pleads with Jesus, desperate for help after the disciples had failed. Jesus speaks a word, and instantly the boy is freed. But what He says next lingers with unsettling weight: “This kind comes out only by prayer and fasting.”

Why here? Why Mount Hermon? Hermon was not just any mountain. It was long believed to be a dwelling place of pagan gods—the site of worship to Pan and Baal, and in the Book of Enoch, the very mountain where the Watchers, fallen angels, descended to corrupt humanity. In other words, this was enemy ground. Jesus wasn’t simply casting out a demon—He was making a stand at the very gates of darkness. And His teaching is still true today: parasites of the spirit do not let go easily.

Like physical parasites that invade the body through unclean food and water, spiritual parasites invade the soul—clinging, draining, feeding off human weakness. Demons are parasites of the spirit, feeding on the brokenness of mankind. Little Children and the Warning of Christ The religious leaders, Pharisees and teachers of the law, were constantly circling, waiting for Jesus to trip over a word. Yet in this moment of spiritual warfare, Jesus places a small child among them. He gathers the child into His arms and declares:

“Whoever receives one of these little children in my name receives me; and whoever receives me, receives not only me but Him who sent me.”

Then comes His sobering warning:

“Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were cast into the sea.”

The contrast could not be clearer: Pharisees with hardened hearts on one side, a child—pure and vulnerable—on the other. Two thousand years later, children remain the prime targets of physical corruption and spiritual deception. The same parasites—whether demonic, cultural, or ideological—seek to consume the next generation. Jesus’ words are not distant history; they are a present warning.

Idols in Caves and the Rainbow Man of Santa Fe

Fast forward centuries later. An artist in Del Rio, Texas, finds himself swept into a cave after a flash flood. Inside, he discovers strange imagery painted on the walls—characters with spiritual undertones.

He spends much of his life recreating these figures in his art. On the surface, this may seem disconnected. But Trey points out how these echoes of ancient idols resurface in unexpected places. In Santa Fe, for example, stands the famous Rainbow Man shop, founded in 1945—the same year the atomic bomb was first tested. Step into its alleyways and you’ll find them lined with idols, ancestor figures, and Day of the Dead imagery. From ancient caves to modern storefronts, the cycle of idol-making continues. And scripture is clear:

“You shall not make for yourself a graven image… you shall not bow down to them or serve them.” — Exodus 20:4-5

Yet idols—whether carved in stone or crafted in culture—remain placeholders for the demonic.

The Secret City — Oppenheimer and the Manhattan Project

Just a few steps from the Rainbow Man lies another story—one shrouded in secrecy. At 109 East Palace in Santa Fe, behind an ordinary door, stood the operations hub for J. Robert Oppenheimer and the Manhattan Project. This was the phone line directly to the White House. This was where new arrivals stepped off the train before being funneled up to Los Alamos, the “Secret City” where the atomic bomb was built. Now, the same alley once tied to one of history’s most dangerous inventions is lined with idols and occult imagery. Is it a coincidence—or a spiritual fingerprint? The Apostle Paul wrote:

“The works of the flesh are evident: idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife… but the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace…” — Galatians 5:19-22

Two powers are at war—then and now. Even as man harnessed the destructive force of the atom, spiritual parasites crouched at the door.

Breaking Idols — A Spiritual Stand in Modern Times

Trey does not simply document idols—he confronts them. In the film, he takes a Kachina doll, a representation of death and confusion, and smashes it apart. Why? Because symbols matter. Idols carry with them the spirits they represent. He describes it as a “clown spirit”—a force of confusion, disorder, and chaos. Even the dogs barked as the doll was destroyed. The act itself becomes a visual reminder: idols must be broken. The war is not against flesh and blood but against the powers of darkness (Ephesians 6:12). The Fruits of the Spirit vs. the Fruits of the Flesh Paul’s words in Galatians 5 echo through this investigation. The fruits of the flesh—idolatry, witchcraft, lust—are the fingerprints of parasites. But the fruits of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, faithfulness—are the evidence of true life. Every person, and even every nation, stands at this crossroads. Which fruit will define us?

“Demons are parasites. The Spirit brings freedom.”

The Mystery Continues — From Hermon to Roswell

Trey leaves us with a final breadcrumb: the next film. The trail of parasites, idols, and hidden history leads directly to Roswell—the infamous crash site tied to alien lore. But what if the story of Roswell is not extraterrestrial at all, but the continuation of the Watcher narrative—fallen angels in modern disguise? The mystery is only beginning.  This article is only a glimpse. To see the full journey—from Mount Hermon to the alleyways of Santa Fe, from parasites of the body to parasites of the soul—you need to watch Trey Smith’s latest film.

Conclusion: A Call to Awareness & Awakening

“Demons are parasites of the spirit. The Holy Spirit brings freedom.” This is not just history. It’s prophecy unfolding. Walk boldly in truth, prayer, and fasting.   Article Parasites of the Spirit: Ancient Demons, Hidden Idols, and Modern Secrets What could possibly connect a demon-possessed boy at the base of Mount Hermon, Jesus’ warning about parasites of the spirit, and the Manhattan Project where Oppenheimer helped unleash the atomic bomb?

This is the startling journey explored in Trey Smith’s newest presentation—a collision of ancient scripture, archaeology, and modern history that reveals how the same battle lines drawn thousands of years ago still run directly through our world today. The story begins in the Gospels… but it does not end there.

From the caves of Mount Hermon to the offices of Oppenheimer, one theme resounds: the battle is not over. Ancient idols, spiritual parasites, and cultural confusion remain. But so does the power of Christ—the One who casts out demons and calls us to walk in truth.
