Flyby on the Blue Planet

Author: Guy Micholic

Asteroid 2016 VA 11/2/2016. On this day, a large asteroid (16 meters), approximate 65 ft. diameter will pass within less than 50,000 miles (0.2 lunar distance) from earth. Though its flight path has been calculated, determining that 2016 VA will not make contact with the earth, debris or what can be called smaller Near Earth Objects that travel in its wake, are able to escape detection and could make impact with satellites or even space stations, or earth itself. A second asteroid, 2016 UX5, being further out at (.71 Lunar distance) will pass by Earth today as well.

To gain perspective on how close 2016 VA will be to us, we need look no further than the moon. Lunar Distance (LD) is the average measure of distance between moon and earth. Actual distance varies depending on orbital position. So, with the moons distance from us coming in at 1.0 LD, we can see that 0.2 LD is only a fraction (20%) of that distance.

This news comes following reports of fireballs, 36 globally, last night. This isn’t going to end any time soon folks. NASA has identified 1739 Near Earth Objects that could pose a potential threat over the coming days, weeks, months and years.

Many unanswered questions become apparent with the close of the year, and I believe these space anomalies should not be discounted. What does the Word of God say on the subject?

Mathew 24: [29] Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

Mark 13: [25] And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.

Revelation 6: [12] And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

[13] And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

I believe that God is not only pointing to our time on earth, but also indicating that we are definitely in what the Bible refers to as the (Last Days). How long this phase in time will last I cannot determine. Suffice to say that we should be preparing ourselves to come face to face with the King of all kings.
