Ron Wyatt’s Monumental Discoveries: Episode I – The “Amateur Archaeologist”

Author: Joshua Glen Lofing

“The following experiences are highlights of my personal relationship with our wonderful and caring Lord. Before God, who cannot lie and to whom lying lips are an abomination, I present these experiences to you as real and the substance of my deep love and humble gratitude to Him, who with His son ‘freely gives us all things.’ Romans 8:32, and who ‘is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think,…’ Ephesians 3:20.”

Ronald Eldon Wyatt, 1933-1999

Matthew 12:37  “For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

This is part one in a seven part series detailing the abundant and outstanding evidence for Ronald Eldon Wyatt’s biblical archaeological finds. These include:

Sodom and Gomorrah
Noah’s Ark
The Red Sea Crossing
The True Mount Sinai
The Ark of the Covenant

Many turn a blind eye to this man, known as an adventurer and “amateur archaeologist” to any of the self-proclaimed elite scientists, geologists, and archaeologists of the day; however, soon you will discover Ron is much more than “amateur”. Do not be fooled, or think you’ve heard the whole story already because I assure you, YOU HAVE NOT!

What you are about to witness in the following Episodes just might make the difference between life and death for you, or your fellow man. What will be described here has far-reaching purpose and meaning that is not only relevant to the end-times, but confirms what was, is, and is to come according to the bible. The testimonies you will hear will surely change your life forever.

When it comes to archaeology and physical proof of the bible, many often say to themselves, “Well, I don’t need proof. I already believe everything in the bible.”
Now, I know we walk by faith and not by sight; in John 20:29 Jesus says,
“Thomas, because you have seen me, you have believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.”  And I assure you, there is much to see.

I ask you, shall we withhold what can be seen from a nonbeliever?
Just as our good works shine as a light for others to see, so God has presented to us physical proof of Himself. We live in a physical world do we not?
Let them be blessed who have believed yet have not seen; but also, let them see who have heard yet have not believed… this is my conclusion.

Based on Ron’s testimony (which will be covered in detail), as we make a closing to the end of the age, all will see and know that YHVH is God who sent His Son Jesus to lay His life down to make propitiation for the sins of mankind; to be raised up again to life, defeating sin and death for those who choose to trust and abide in Jesus, receiving the Holy Spirit.

However, whether the individual chooses to love the Truth, or love the lie, will be the determining factor between life and death.  In Luke 10:13 Jesus says, “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.”

Here we see the people even saw the mighty works of Messiah, and yet still did not believe!!! The very same “woe” remains for those who hate the Truth and worship the beast, even though the testimony had been proclaimed to them.  Matthew 24:14,
“And this Gospel of the Kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony unto all nations, and then the end will come.”  Keep this verse in mind.

Comparing Trey Smith to Ron Wyatt

Noting Trey Smith’s work, I see Trey as a living parable. From my own experiences, his wacky character and animated movements will often immediately cause one who hates the truth to mock and dismiss the information Trey presents. This is caused by their hardened and prideful hearts.

Jesus says in Matthew 13:13, “This is why I speak to them in parables: ‘Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand.’”

And in Matthew 13:15, “For this people’s heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.”

This takes one who has discernment, and if you’ve made it this far into the article, I’d say you’re likely one of those.

“He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.” – Matthew 11:15  Just as our good friend Trey Smith would be considered “amateur” by the mainstream, we know his heart is well with the Lord, and we know him to be an honest man. The same can be said about Mr. Wyatt, and I humbly ask that you stick around and see for yourself the evidence presented.

1 Corinthians 2:14,15 tells us,  “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.”

We are starting slow; but I promise you, this rollercoaster you’re about to ride is just the beginning.

Revealing God’s Treasure

The video below, produced by Ark Discovery International, will be our baseline but by no means will we be limited to it, for there are many who have come across the path of Mr. Wyatt and many have testimonies to share. All will be detailed in the following Episodes to the best of my ability for the reader’s benefit.

I encourage you also to visit http://wyattmuseum.com/ron-wyatt where Ron’s close friend and fellow amateur archaeologist, Richard Rives, gives a testimony about the man Ron Wyatt. Here is an excerpt:

“In working with Ron I have seen things and experienced events that can be described in no other way than “supernatural.”  I could tell you many stories; but just let me say, I know who Ron was working for.

Ron’s main goal in life was to “help somebody get to heaven.” When considering an archaeological project, Ron’s main consideration was “Will it help somebody get to heaven?” He would always say: “If it won’t help somebody get to heaven I don’t want to do it.”

Ron spent his life doing the work he was given to do. He made dozens of trips overseas, spending everything that he could earn between, to work on the projects at hand.  He always said “The LORD is coming and it won’t do any good to have a bank full of money.”

Ron Wyatt was a “Man of God.”  Even so, he was just a man, with attributes and faults just like you and I.  He would be the first to tell you that there is “none that doeth good, no not one.”  People would always ask Ron why God had allowed him to find “all those things.”  Ron would always give a humble answer, not taking personal credit for his God given abilities.

I believe that the reason God allowed him to find “all those things” is because he was willing to look for them.  Most people do not realize how much hard work it takes to do what Ron did.  He was willing to give his life in the service of his Creator.

God has always used men like that.”

Friends and Family

In his lifetime, Mr. Wyatt worked with a number of unlikely characters including Jim and Penny Caldwell who worked in an oil field in Saudi Arabia. You will hear their testimony of a divine coincidence leading to the thorough documentation of the true Mount Sinai, located in the land of Midian, in the same area as Jim’s oil field. Jebel el Lawz, proven to be the area of Horeb and Sinai (yes, Jim and Penny theorized two separate peaks) which today, located in Saudi Arabia, is a militarized zone fenced off from all archaeology. But the LORD has allowed these things to be revealed!

Here is Jim and Penny at the militarized archaeological area of the true Mount Sinai, Jebel el Lawz! This is something the Saudi’s do not want Israel to find out about!

Jim and Penny

In this series you will learn extensively about Michael Rood, a retired U.S. Marine, who had to meet with Ron Wyatt after hearing about his so-called “Ark of the Covenant testimony.” In the following Episodes you will get to hear Micheal Rood’s prayer that led to an undeniable confirmation from Ron, proving without a doubt that Ron was in fact telling the truth.

Michael Rood

Did you say, “ARK OF THE COVENANT?”

Let’s get one fact straight:  Ron Wyatt began digging in Israel for the Ark of the Covenant in 1979. Two years later in 1981 the Indiana Jones franchise began, with the first movie Raiders of the Lost Ark. Quite an interesting coincidence wouldn’t you say? I’d say Ron Wyatt is the original Indiana Jones!

Ron Wyatt the real Indiana Jones

In fact, because of the stark similarities I believe Ron adopted some of the style from Indiana Jones as a statement saying, “I found it first!” But that’s my own assessment. Anyway, continuing with Michael Rood…

Rood is now the founder of aroodawakening.tv where he stars in his weekly show ”Shabbat Night Live”. Over the years his ministry has put together a collection of DVDs detailing the majority of Ron Wyatt’s discoveries. These are available for everyone at this website.

In a presentation titled “End Times Archaeology”, recorded at the Prophecy Club in 2004, Michael Rood spoke about Ron Wyatt: http://www.prophecyclubresources.com

“Why he was an ‘amateur archaeologist’, is because he was a nurse anesthetist by trade and that’s where he made his money, but he spent all of his money doing something that professional archaeologists don’t do.

See what professional archaeologist have done, and these schools in America, they have funded archaeological expeditions to this part of the world, heavily funded, they can afford to go over there and spend decades digging holes and searching for things of antiquity in places where the bible never said anything took place.

So they searched for an entire decade in some place that, according to the biblical record you’d never find anything, and at the end of that time they say that the bible is full of errors because this never happened.

Oh, brilliant! That’s genius!

Mr. Wyatt did something different.  He carefully looked at the biblical record. He analyzed the original Hebrew text and he followed these paths out and found himself right at this shore, and on this shore he found a Phoenician-style pillar from the time of Solomon.”

This pillar, located at Nuweiba beach in Egypt, is believed to have been erected by king Solomon to commemorate the sons of Israel crossing the Red Sea (Gulf of Aqaba) here at this location by the will of Almighty God.
In the photo above, next to the ancient pillar now set in concrete, we see Kevin Fisher who worked with Mr. Wyatt and knew him on a personal level.

At the following link you will find Kevin Fisher’s full testimony about the man of God, Ron Wyatt! http://www.arkdiscovery.com/ronwyatt.htm

Here is a small section of what Kevin Fisher had to say about Ron:

”Ron was the most humble, God-fearing man I have ever met. He was not interested in fame or fortune.  He was only interested in doing the Lord’s will.  He made great money as a nurse anesthetist, but gave most of it to this work, including traveling overseas 130 times.  When he would run out of money overseas, he would head back to his job and earn more money to fund his work for the Lord. He lived in a duplex in Nashville during most of his work, desiring to spend his money working for the Lord, instead of on a beautiful home.

In 1977, when the Lord was showing Ron that He had a job for him to do, Ron sold his farm and used that money for this work.  He did not have health or life insurance, as he would give the money he would spent on insurance premiums to the Lord’s work.” At the same link above you will find Ron Wyatt’s very own testimony, which I quoted in the intro to this article.

Please, use this valuable tool to help discern for yourself the Truth!

Entering into Faith

Ron Wyatt came to trust in the Blood of the cross through studying the prophets, and the prophecies thereof that had been fulfilled through Jesus the Messiah. With the discoveries of the Dead Sea scrolls in the caves of Qumran which date before the time of Christ, Ron knew that what was written in the bible had to be true.

This faith inspired Ron to search for Noah’s ark in 1977. Using funds saved from his work as a nurse anesthetist, Ron and his two sons Danny and Ronny Wyatt began a three day search for Noah’s ark in the mountains of Ararat in eastern Turkey where he believed the ark to have rested after the flood.

Nevertheless, in the next Episode we are beginning in a different chapter of Ron’s story. Namely, discovering the cities destroyed by fire and brimstone in the plain of Jordan surrounding the Dead Sea!

Stand by for the carnage to begin in Episode II – Sodom and Gomorrah.

Bio: Joshua Glen Lofing. I am first and foremost a believer in the saving Blood of Jesus the Messiah, believing in the words of the entire bible. I do not believe in religious denomination, for there is only one Truth, Way, and Life; that is Christ Jesus our Lord. Second, I am currently an active duty U.S. Marine in 1st Battalion 6th Marines, the infantry. I have had a unique experience away from the so-called “normality” of life while in the Marine Corps; being away from television and mind-numbing media, spending a ton of time out of the country and away from my California home and family. While experiencing in my own way the pure evil this world has to offer, contemplating life and death and the own evil within myself and my weakness to overcome it, I came to a breaking point while spending seven months in the kingdom of Bahrain. I returned to my childhood faith. Here it was where the LORD showed me that not only is He right… about everything … but that I needed to be ready, because He is returning very soon. Also that my actions could very well influence the fate of my family, even the world around me, and I needed to help prepare them too. He showed me that what I choose today will effect the future forever.
