Zuzeca Sape (The Black Snake)

Author: Andrew Smith

There is a Prophecy amongst many Native American peoples known as Zuzeca Sape (The Black Snake).

“Our elders have told us that if the zuzeca sape, the black snake, comes across our land, our world will end. Zuzeca has come – in the form of the Dakota Access pipeline – and so I must fight. The Dakota Access pipeline threatens to destroy our sacred ground. I am defending the land and water of my people, as my ancestors did before me.” Lyuskin American Horse in Canon Ball, North Dakota

First Nations People have begun to gather from all over the country as I write this, to the Standing Rock Reservation of the Sioux nation… Gathering together in solidarity to fight the “black snake” they don’t call themselves protesters they call themselves water protectors.  To them, as should be with us, water is sacred and water is life.  This is an issue that we should all be aware of and if you like clean water I would ask that you find within your own convictions a place where you can contribute to what’s going on at Standing Rock with our First Nations People.  Keep the events fervent in your muses.  There is a massive attempt to silence this outcry but the Prayers are beginning to break out of the camp and spread around the world.  I believe God is moving in America. If you follow the works of GINP you understand how prophecy works in patterns you begin to see the writing between the lines of how a sovereign God deals with nations.  I believe he wants to show us something through the host people of this land but it is still up to us to turn our attention to what God wants to show us.  Find a niche of this issue that connects with your convictions and your resources; whether it is to give supplies or materials or whether it is to bring forth attention and awareness to those around you.  Startup conversations and begin the discussions that will bring forth awareness.   However it is that you decide to stand with Standing Rock, or if you decided at all, always remember that water is life.

There is a movement happening around the world that opposes the establishment.  This movement is exposing the corruption that so many people are tired of.  There is no worse corruption then a multi-billion dollar oil company supported by multinational central banks trampling over centuries old treaties and the sovereignty of The First Nations people in the lust for money.  Bulldozing through sacred burial grounds without the due process entitled to the Native Americans to object.  Army Corps of Engineers have asked DAPL to halt construction of the pipeline for 30 days to ease tensions between the project and the water protectors.  Private security forces as well as local and state police are assisting in the protection of the pipeline company.  Yes, it is backwards isn’t it?  They have used attack dogs, mace, pepper spray, rubber bullets, sound cannons, and riot police to attack and push back peaceful water protectors.  Natives have been maced in the face while in ceremonial prayer in the water and yet they pray for their oppressors.  Entire prayer camps loaded into dump trucks and dumped offsite with zero respect of sacred items pasted down for generations.   It is all online; do the research yourself.  The UN itself has issued a statement that DAPL and the Police along with state and US government have violated several statutes against indigenous people during this project.  Many law enforcement officers have refused to return to the conflict stating that it is unethical and I praise those brave me for their conviction.  It has gotten that bad.

The original forming of this writing came in the form of a conformation as I watched the election results.  As a good friend of mine and Brother in Christ texted back and forth during election coverage.  The Great Creative Spirit used our conversation to affirm to me the great importance of this issue and that this election is directly involved in the direction the conflict will take.  I wrote a prayer in 2014 that was lifechanging for me.  It was written in the wake of a very powerful experience.  I didn’t understand the full meaning of it until Nov 8, 2016.  I will share it at the end of this article.

I am told that my Great Grandmother was half Cherokee.   This all makes sense now.  The strange spiritual connection I have always had with my Mother and my Grandmother that carry the same Indigenous blood.  That spiritual marker has been activated in me.  I hear the cries that come out of the Earth.  They haunt me as She groans in pain.  So many questions answered this week.  I hear the native dialects in my prayer language; they have always been there but never realized.  I asked for conformation and it started raining from Heaven that FRESH mana.  The Great Spirit in the sky has lit a fire in my belly that will never go out.  I wish I could convey the passion stirring in me through these lowly words of script and shallow meaning.  The fire and uncontrollable desire to shout from the rooftops in solidarity with Standing Rock against the atrocities impaling this planet in the name of corporate greed and indifference. To call out against the transgressions thrown upon this land’s First Nation Poeples.  The world is not destroyed by the deeds of evil people but by the silence of righteous people.   Don’t turn a blind eye to the injustice going on right now at Standing Rock.  We will one day hand this planet over to our children and grandchildren.  Will it be a wasteland?  An ancient Native American proverb says… “Treat the earth well: it was not given to you by your parents, it was loaned to you by your children. We do not inherit the Earth from our Ancestors; we borrow it from our Children”.  There was a Lakota long ago that seen into this day by the name of Crazy Horse that I believe was a prophecy of the events unfolding now.

“Upon suffering beyond suffering; the Red Nation shall rise again and it shall be a blessing for a sick world. A world filled with broken promises, selfishness and separations. A world longing for light again. I see a time of seven generations when all the colors of mankind will gather under the sacred Tree of Life and the whole Earth will become one circle again. In that day there will be those among the Lakota who will carry knowledge and understanding of unity among all living things, and the young white ones will come to those of my people and ask for this wisdom. I salute the light within your eyes where the whole universe dwells. For when you are at that center within you and I am that place within me, we shall be as one.”  -Crazy Horse 1842-1877

It is time to stand up.  It is time to call out in cadence, all nationalities, races, all relatives.  It is time to cut off the head of the Zuzeca Sape (The Black Snake).

My Prayer for our Mother

Lord,

I bear witness to you this day to praise Your Majestic Glory.  I thank You for all the blessings You have bestowed on me and mine for they are too many to count.  Be it not that I bare false witness this day but lay my burdens at Your Almighty Feet.  My spirit sings the songs of sorrow in man’s wake.   My sorrow is for our mother earth and the toll the age of man has taken on her.  Even as we travel to our daily toils we bellow poison that man has pulled from her bowels in their unquenchable desire for profit into her very womb.  Mankind pulls the iron from those same bowels to build his structures of temporary comfort in that same lust for gold.  As the dragon’s fire burns these fuels we spit venom into her very veins.    Is it not enough that mankind is bent on his own destruction but rapes his mother as well?  OH LORD!!! How we have raped her.   Is there not words that I can arrange in some manner that might pierce the hearts of men to stop this needless plunder?  Are there no sounds that I can make that will convey the True perception of our wicked and selfish act that brings genocide to us and murder of our mother. To let that perception revive a spirit of love and harmony that may repair the damage done.  My spirit cries out in urgency because I know the fruits of this cowardly act is death.  Oh, God please help us to see the duality of these words.   Let not the lack of perception weaken the meaning of these very words.  When man reaps the harvest of his iniquities and our mother with her last dying breath gives up her last child of Light, might we take a moment before we are whisked away to the place where You dwell.  A moment to behold our mother.  She has given her all.  As she lay there in ruins.  Exhausted from her labor, barren and lifeless. A moment of reverent reflection.  May we praise Your Name as You reach down with divine hands and restore our beloved mother back to her virgin state that she may behold her children in health and prosperity for a time.  So we can bestow to her the gratitude and thanks for such sacrifices.  What greater gift to a mother then the love and gratitude of her children.  Oh Lord!  I know this to be true for Your Wisdom is tested, Your Love is pure, Your Glory is forever.  Might Your sons and daughters that have understanding be given the strength to call out in cadence against these atrocities so that at the end of her life our mother Earth will hear the faint cry of her children and know that she was loved.   Give us strength to call out against those that plant seeds of division and strife that only breeds separation and hate.  Let our last cry as mankind be one of resounding joy in the love of our mother and the Wisdom and Awesome Power of our Father.  In all this thy will be done.  In Christ Jesus name I pray.

AMEN

May the grace of the Christ, and the love of Creator, and the fellowship of Holy Spirit be with you all.

P.S.  I would like to personally thank GINP and Trey Smith for the platform on which to speak on this matter.  I would also like to thank Jonathan Rovetto that urged me to reformulate this article to focus less on my confirmation and more about the First Nation Peoples, their cause, and the issues they face.
